‘Golfo’ Vermouth is a party guy. Slinking its way from the Ribera del Duero in Spain, this is a mighty vermouth, based on old vines of dry grown Tinto Fino (tempranillo grapes). The aromatics of Cillar de Silos ‘Golfo’ Vermut Tinto tease the drinker’s nose and palate with subtle layers of worm-wood, gentian, quinine, savory and marjoram. Seductively served over ice, the sensual complexity of flavours whisper Golfo’s restrained seriousness in the glass. With a nose reminiscent of the digestif, Fernet Branca but a third the alcohol, this is for contemplative and senses-awakening hedonistic enjoyment.
